This is the Create-a-Wrestler storyline. You CAN use one of the already present characters if you so want, but it may be more fun to do it yourself. And if you choose to download this character, it won't affect any of your CAW slots.
PART 1: GHW
You start as a Gung Ho Wrestler, fresh in the ranks. The goal is to rise out of GHW, work your way into MAWL proper, and become an integral part of the story.
This mode gives you the Open World approach that you have been missing from other games' CAW stories and truly plays more like a Franchise Mode. Beyond your own scheduled matches, you have the option to break bad - or good - by interfering in others' matches on the card, saving from/participating in beatdowns, making/joining a faction, and even choosing to lay the beatdown on fans, announcers, management... everyone is fair game and no one is safe.
How you play, who you involve yourself with, where you move up/down on the rankings, affects who you face. Heels are more likely to fight faces, and faces are more likely to fight heels. The unlocking system is similar to a Pokémon system - you find em, you fight/team with em, you win, you get em.
Each month starting with Heart Condition, as it becomes time for the MAWL PPV, the top 8 ranked get to participate in a showcase match. Win your showcase match, and you will be given the opportunity to stay in GHW or move into the undercard ranks of MAWL. Lose, and you stay in GHW another month. Staying in GHW allows you to potentially unlock more GHW wrestlers, moving up grants you different types of opportunities. All matches, not just yours, affect rankings... so if someone is doing a little too well, it might behoove you to get involved. The potential unlockables are:

Upon successfully moving up to MAWL and Part 2, you unlock Sherman the Vermin.
PART 2: STARTING MAWL OVER
So here's where a twist occurs... you're starting in MAWL but not 2026... no, my friend, because depending on when you've entered from GHW, you're either debuting somewhere between Heart Condition 2024 and W2 2025.
You'll meet some old school faces you may not have known, and some early versions of the stars you know and love/love to hate. You'll get the opportunity to battle through some of the old-school pre-unification arenas. And then, once the W2 rolls around... you'll have the opportunity to attack (heel choice) or try to save (face choice) Genesis, which leads you to replace him in the W2.
